Hydel Girls Rule at Home and Abroad

The tenacity, speed, and strength of Jamaica’s Hydel High School girls fended off the challenges of their main rivals, compatriots Edwin Allen High School and US powerhouse Bullis High School of Washington DC, to win the high school girls Championship of America sprint and mile relays in the US city of Philadelphia, Friday, March 26.

It was the penultimate day of the 128th relay carnival, and Hydel, winners of both relays at the 2024 Jamaica high school championships (Champs) in March, clocked 44.71secs in the 4x100m, a repeat of their Champs time, and 3mins, 34.74secs in the 4x400m, their third straight victory in Philadelphia.
